It's been a long time coming, but alas, Skull and I have decided to close Checkmate. This has been one of the most fun sites we've ever run and we want to thank all of our members for helping make this a really memorable experience for us. From day one you have all just been fantastically supportive, wonderful to role-play with, and excellent to chat with in the cbox. I'll treasure every plot and thread that I got to have and fondly recall all of the amazing characters brought together here. Thank you for the memories, maybe we'll see you again if/when we decide to reopen.
